My heartfelt sympathies go out to the people of Aurora and the families and friends of those who have lost their lives in the massacre at a cinema, whilst watching the premier of the latest Batman ‘Dark Knight Rises’ movie.
What was supposed to have been a night of entertainment, in a few moments, turned into a massacre.
News reports say 12 people have lost their lives with many others injured, including children. News reports are also saying there are 50 injured with many traumatised..
One person known to have lost her life is Sportscaster, Jennifer Redfield who tweeted from the cinema saying that, “The movie doesn’t start for 20 minutes”.
As the tragedy is beginning to unfold, one other casualty that was involved in this tragedy was a 3 month old baby. Words can’t express the sadness that people feel on hearing about a baby being a victim… especially as this little babe has spent hardly any time in our world.
As police and bomb disposal try to gain entry into the culprits booby-trapped apartment, President Obama led a minute of silence and gave a speech, saying, “There will be other days for politics. This is a day for prayer and reflection.”
My thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Colorado at this sad and tragic time and to the family of James Holmes, who will have to live with the nightmare of what their son did. God be with you during the coming days as you try to deal with the aftermath of what has happened.
