New Years Eve Is Celebrated In London With A Huge Firework DisplayStroke of Midnight Where were you last night when 2013 turned into 2014? Is that where you’d wanted to be?

Well where was I.. yes I was at home with family celebrating and at 11pm we watched Gary Barlow sing his way into the New Year…. and then the fireworks that were set off as the New Year was rang in with the chimes of Big Ben…

I would have loved to be standing there watching those fireworks go off.. but I don’t think I would have managed the long-standing position.. without the assistance of either the London Ambulance service or St. John’s Ambulance.  Standing in one spot for more than 5 minutes makes my back ache.. and with PMR I knew damn well my joints would have been a killer for the New Year… so it was sitting at home with the TV, Gary Barlow and the fireworks on the TV. 😀

And yes we did have the best fireworks by far… many other countries were impressive but there is nothing like your own city being the centre of attention as they bring in the new Year with their spectacular displays.

Plus the fact, we know the doggies don’t like fireworks.. and we know that people around us let them off at New Year and we both felt it was wrong to leave them indoors whilst we were out partying… knowing full well how upset they get.

But New Year to me isn’t about where you are.. it is about who you are with… I know.. in 2014 I could be turning into an old romantic… never 😀  Not me.  And spending New Years Eve with my hubby is just the place I wanted to be…
