Katie Hopkins – Putting the debate of euthanasia back a decade or more.

To say I am flabbergasted is an under-estimate. I have gone past the state of shock and am personally on the border of wanting to slap that bitch in the mouth..  And before the lawyers letters hit my door-mat or I am frog-marched off by the Police… I have enough self-control not to commit such an act of violence.  But the thought of it… seems quite pleasing.

As many of you have gathered I am in support of euthanasia.  I don’t believe in people suffering pain and indignity during death.  Death is something that comes to us all, albeit far too soon for some.  But when you are faced with pain that is relentless, no quality of life and no chance in the world of ever getting well again… euthanasia is a means to end of your suffering.  You know you are going to die.. so why should you be forced to endure weeks, if not months of further suffering and pain.

In Britain the debate needs to be held.  Yes safeguards should be imposed, but if a person makes a living will, saying that should they be beyond help and there is no cure and they are incapable of making the decision at the said illness time, they should be allowed to die.  Then we should grant that person that wish.

Celebrity Big Brother 2015Some politicans and some people don’t want this debate… and when you have the likes of that bitch Kate Hopkins, making remarks like this in an interview, then there is no hope of a reasonable discussion ever being held.  I know these comments were made by her back in 2015 but it is because of the likes of these comments, lawmakers are too afraid to pass any bill supporting Assisted Dying.  However, I only stumbled across the article today and I am appalled at the lack of compassion this woman has.

In an interview by Michael Buerk in Radio Times magazine, Hopkins said: “We just have far too many old people.”

She added: “It’s ridiculous to be living in a country where we can put dogs to sleep but not people.”

Asked for her solution, she said: “Easy. Euthanasia vans – just like ice-cream vans – that would come to your home.”

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant added: “It would all be perfectly charming. They might even have a nice little tune they’d play. I mean this genuinely. I’m super-keen on euthanasia vans.

“We need to accept that just because medical advances mean we can live longer, it’s not necessarily the right thing to do.”

Yes back in 2015, these comments were made by Kate Hopkins.. and that is why today the debate will not be heard and the law will not be changed.  Just in case you get some moronic person like her, thinking it is OK to euthanise people with dementia or those that drain the NHS with arthritic conditions.  Her euthanasia vans are the equivalent of what the Nazis had during WWII.  The Nazis, exterminated Jews, Homosexuals, and anybody that didn’t fit into their idea of the perfect race via the gas chamber.  Kate Hopkins, in today’s society, thinks it’s perfectly fine to send out the euthanasia vans to the elderly.

Who next Katie, once you’ve dealt with the elderly?   Children with terminal cancer?  People with deformities?   How about people with epilepsy? Somehow I don’t think that specific group (epileptics) would be included in the euthansia van’s criteria, because Katie Hopkins could be the head of that list and first on her euthanasia van.

Comments like that, from gutter trash like Hopkins, has just put the #dignityindying debate back 50 years.

“Katie Hopkins – Putting the debate of euthanasia back a decade or more”. You give the remarks of this silly, attention seeking woman too much importance.

Has much as I agree with you to certain extent, the problem lies with others using her words to oppose any legislation that would enable assisted suicide. We all know she is a vindictive woman who has no sympathy for anybody and doesn’t have a kind word to say. But she spouts her mouth and either others jump on the bandwagon with her or they use her words against implementation of things.

That is the problem. She is of no importance but her words have a far reaching audience especially to those that oppose assisted suicide.

Maybe not her herself, but the argument could be made that if we ever did find ourselves with a dictator of a leader then they themselves might think it perfectly OK to send out the euthanasia vans for a certain group or ethnic population.
